Challenge

This project came with unique complexities that required careful planning and fast execution. The facility was located in a flood zone, requiring elevation adjustments to bring it safely out of risk. Early permitting delays set the schedule back by nearly a month, compressing an already aggressive five-month timeline. Additionally, paving for the parking lot had to be completed before winter, with a short window of favorable conditions available. Regardless, the team faced a hard deadline: the client’s existing lease could not be extended, and patients were depending on the facility being open on time. Success required the team to anticipate challenges and adapt quickly.

Outcome

Despite the delays, the team successfully delivered the new medical clinic within the tight five-month timeline. The client was able to transition seamlessly into the new facility, ensuring uninterrupted care for patients. By overcoming these unforeseen obstacles, the team reinforced Vista Healthcare’s trust in VISCO leading to additional projects, including a new 10,000 sq. ft. tenant improvement currently underway in St. George.
